Before Getting Started

  1. Log in to your personal account. More details can be found in the personal account guide.

  2. In the dropdown menu at the top, select the project and go to the Evolution platform.

  3. Make sure the account has a role of at least Project User or Service User. If not, adjust permissions or request them from the administrator.

  4. Open the Data Storage section and ensure Object Storage is listed among the services. If it’s not, contact support.

  5. Create a service account and get access keys, or use your personal account with a personal API key.

Create a Bucket

  1. In your personal account, select Evolution.

  2. In the Data Storage section, choose Object Storage.

  3. Click Create Bucket.

  4. In the pop-up window, specify the Bucket Name, for example, test-bucket. For additional addressing, you can provide a Global Name and Domain Name.

  1. Choose the storage class — Standard.

Why Standard Storage Class? Standard storage has a free usage tier. It is suitable for storing frequently accessed data like media, emails, and documents.

If you’re uploading infrequently used backups or archives, choose cold or frozen storage.

Storage costs, outgoing traffic, and operations are calculated according to the pricing rules.

  1. Click Create.
  2. In the Object Storage API section, save:
1. Endpoint
2. Tenant ID
3. Region

Set Up Connection in Default Uploader

  1. In your personal account, enter the details from step 7 Create a Bucket and step 5 Before Getting Started
  2. Click Save and Test Connection
